Buestad Construction led 10 years of extensive phased renovations to this historic home, built in 1904 to showcase bricks and terracotta tiles from the owner’s Alameda pottery works business. Buestad created a new fourth floor under the roof line, added reinforcing structural steel support structure and strengthened original redwood columns. All new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems were installed. Buestad utilized specially carvers, historically accurate materials and original plans in restoring the mansion.
